After an act of vandalism at the location, the press conference of NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman in Tempe, Arizona was disrupted by the words "VOTE NO" written in multiple areas. This recent event highlights the conflict between Tempe and Phoenix concerning the proposed construction of a new arena for the Coyotes in Tempe.
While Tempe is in support of the new arena, Phoenix is against it, leading to legal action. This incident adds further complexity to the already contentious situation. It remains to be seen how this will impact the proposal, and if the Coyotes will be able to build their new arena in Tempe.
