Wild fan goes viral for chugging beer out of cowboy boot at road game
Edmonton Oilers fans are widely regarded as being the loudest and proudest fans in the NHL, and during last night's game, one fan in particular is making Oil Country proud.
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, An Oilers fan was in attendance for the road game and ready to taunt Canucks fans, going off the Mark Messier jersey. The fan chugged a beer out of his boot every time the Oilers scored, and after 7 goals, he'd be stumbling home with some wet feet.
There were plenty of Oilers fans in that section of Rogers Place, and all were hyping the fan up every time he took the shoey. Even a few Canucks fans in the video seemed to be laughing along with the fan.
One can only imagine how tipsy this fan got after doing 7 legendary cowboy boot beer chugs.
Regardless, it's great to see opposing stadiums filled up with orange and blue jerseys. It's a true testament as to why oilers fans are considered the best in the world.
If you watched the game on television last night, you probably noticed the "Let's Go Oilers" chants overpowering the Vancouver Canucks crowd.
Vancouver is a popular destination for travelling Oilers fans due to it's relatively close proximity, vibrant nightlife, and mild weather.
This fan should consider himself rather lucky that he wasn't doing this in -30 degree weather, considering his foot would have probably froze off.
It's great to see that all the Oilers fans in the building enjoyed their night as they spanked the Vancouver Canucks by a score of 7-3, climbing back to a 7-7-1 record.
