Experienced Reporter Caught On Camera Bullying A Child
The Buffalo Sabres' junior reporter program has recently made headlines after a young fan's experience turned sour. Madison, a participant in the program, was given the opportunity to experience what it's like to be an NHL reporter. Her day took an unexpected turn when a member of the Sabres media team encouraged her to enter a media scrum.
As Madison approached the scrum with her microphone, she was confronted by Mike Harrington, a Buffalo Sabres' media member who refused to allow her to enter. The footage of the incident was captured by Mike Straw Media and has since gained attention on social media.
"We've all seen what @ByMHarrington has said and heard the stories, but this is something that deserves to be brought up.
Harrington's history of acting better than isn't new as you can see in this clip of clearly intimidating a Sabres Jr. Reporter. A KID."
It's important for organizations to provide opportunities for young people to experience the world of sports journalism, but it's equally important for experienced reporters to support and guide these young reporters.
