Edmonton Oilers big opportunity tonight, Vancouver Canucks star player injured
The Edmonton Oilers are taking on the Vancouver Canucks tonight for an epic postseason rematch, and a huge opportunity has just presented itself to get back to .500.
The Vancouver Canucks wrapped up their three-game California road trip on Thursday night in the 'City of Angels' as they took on the Los Angeles Kings.
During the first period however, things went south after a dirty hit from Los Angeles Kings forward Tanner Jeannot on Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser.
Boeser, has now been listed day-to-day and will not be available for tonight's game against the Edmonton Oilers.
took on the Los Angeles Kings.
This is massive news for the Edmonton Oilers, who will be looking to take advantage of this golden opportunity.
According to Vancouver Canucks GM Patrik Allvin, Brock Boeser has always been a thorn in the Oilers side, seemingly always showing up with elite performances when the Oilers come to town.
Tonight, the Oilers hope to put in a full 60 minutes with the same lineup against another Pacific Division rival in the Canucks, who'll be without the services of Brock Boeser tonight due to an upper-body injury he sustained after taking a high hit from Tanner Jeannot on Thursday during Vancouver's victory over the Los Angeles Kings.
Since the start of the 2017-18 season, the Canucks have struggled in 65 total games without Boeser in the lineup, going 27-28-10 over that span.

After suffering a meltdown game against the Las Vegas Golden Knights, I fully expect the Edmonton Oilers to come out firing on all cylinders tonight, getting their record back to an even 7-7-1. Can the Oilers do it? We'll find out tonight!
