With the highly anticipated NHL season right around the corner, we take a look back at some of the most iconic moments in recent Oilers history.

I get it, this isn't exactly an article that reflects a big blockbuster trade or annoying comments made by Mark Spector, but you would be remise not to acknowledge this hilarious moment by former Oilers goaltender Mike Smith. Last year, former Oilers D-man Tyson Barrie tied the knot, and his wedding party was one of the most epic events of all time.

As per Oilers Nation, Zach Hyman once mentioned that Barrie is the most well-connected man in hockey and now there's proof of that after Lauren Kyle posted on her Instagram story of a photo that featured NHL stars such as Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, Barrie himself, all packed in a bus with the top model of them all taking the photo, Mike Smith who was been the rockstar of the weekend.

Honestly, the best part out of Barrie's wedding seeing Mike Smith have the time of his life and showing the kids how to party by going tarps off in the middle of everything.
It's also wild how many people found out where the event was held as plenty of fans did their best to meet players and snap photos.

In a previous article I wrote, I wanted to emphasize just how big of a beauty Tyson Barrie was. He was recognized as being one of the most beloved members on the team, with his presence in the Oilers locker room being crucial for the team's morale during tough times. These players are often scrutinized by the media during soul sucking interviews and deliberate jabs pertaining to their performances on the ice.

In this particular setting, former oilers goalie Mike Smith reminds us that these are just a bunch of boys who love having a good time. Although Mike Smith was never able to take the team to the Stanley Cup Final, I genuinely hope he's enjoying his well deserved retirement.

Mike Smith was known for being a gifted puck handler and a solid veteran presence between the pipes. He brought the Oilers to the Western Conference finals in 2022 against the Colorado Avalanche, and did a great job overall between the pipes for the Oilers during his stint in northern Alberta.
