More details on Sean Higgins have emerged
Johnny and his brother Matthew were struck by a vehicle near their home in Salem County, New Jersey, on Thursday night. Unfortunately, both Johnny and Matthew passed away as a result of the accident.
Higgins is currently set to reappear in court on Friday, September 13 after the judge postponed the hearing almost immediately after the start of court. However, according to one user on X who has a background in law; Higgins could be in for an extended stay.
As you can see from the image above, Higgins has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide which according to the user comes with at least 5-10 years of prison time per charge. With it being two unfortunate deaths, it could be that Higgins may end up spending nearly two decades locked up for his callous actions.
NHL enthusiasts will be eagerly awaiting a further news update forthcoming on September 13th. As horrible as the tragedy is, these new details that have merged on X (formally known as twitter) have major implications for Higgins moving forward.
