The Oilers preseason is well underway, with the team starting off in strong fashion edging out the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 in overtime.

After the game, head coach Kris Knoblauch has some words about the victory:

"There were a lot of guys that played really well,"nKnoblauch said, via NHL.com. "As a defense corps, all six of them played really well. But I thought [Dineen] made some nice plays in the first period and on the overtime goal, but I thought all of them were moving the puck really well."

Knoblauch will be looking to keep the boys motivated as they appear to be dressing a highly talented Oilers squad ahead of tonight's Battle of Alberta.

With that being said, the Oilers are getting right back at it. Tonight's tale of the tape features two marquee matchups between their southern rivals - the Calgary Flames. The game is a split squad match up, with one game being played at Rogers Place, and another being played at the Saddledome.

Because of the nature of the split game, fans can anticipate many elite Oilers dressing for the home game tonight. Typically, the elite players will play the home game to reduce travel time, in addition to putting on a show for the fans.

According to Sportskeeda and Jason Gregor, these are the projected Oilers lines for the home game at Rogers place tonight.

Predicted Oilers lineup tonight:

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins-Connor McDavid-Zach Hyman
Jeff Skinner-Adam Henrique-Viktor Arvidsson
Draisaitl will play with a few offensive prospects

Puck drop is at 7:00 PM MT
