Sean Monahan talked about Gaudreau days before his death
The NHL is mourning the tragic loss of NHL former Calgary Flames superstar Johnny Gaudreau.
Former Calgary Flames forward Sean Monahan was acquired by the Columbus Blue Jackets during the offseason season to reunite with his former teammate and best friend Johnny Gaudreau.
Monahan and Gaudreau, known as the "Johnny and Mony line" were an all-star duo together during their years with the Flames organization. Recently in an interview with What Chaos! Monahan spoke to his excitement about about reuniting with Gaudreau next season in Columbus.
Even as an Oilers fan, you have to feel absolutely devastated for Sean Monahan in this situation. The only reason Monahan went to Columbus was to reunite with Johnny, and now that has been completely ripped away.
Oilers Insider sends their deepest condolences to the Gaudreau family.
