Breaking news in Oil Country as 4 sportsnet televised Oilers broadcasts have been canceled.

Oilers fans will have to plan accordingly to make sure they aren't missing their favourite match ups as 4 Oilers broadcasts have been canceled on sportsnet this upcoming season.

As per Liam McCormick Sportsnet sold the rights to Monday Night NHL games to Amazon for the 2024-25 season and beyond. The Oilers play four times on Monday nights, so fans will have to subscribe to Amazon Prime Video to catch them. All of the games are quality matchups too, including one with the Florida Panthers.

The Amazon Prime broadcast is quickly being put together for the upcoming season. According to reports from YYZ Sports Media on X, the Amazon broadcast will include Andi Petrillo, Adnan Virk, and former Oiler Mark Messier. It's a bit of a nuisance for fans to need to buy another $10 subscription to watch hockey games, but perhaps Amazon will be able to provide a different and entertaining alternative to Sportsnet.

Sportsnet have recently published their broadcast schedule for the 2024-25, so be sure to check their website for further details.
