Taylor Hall addresses trade rumour: is Edmonton in the cards?
Former Edmonton Oilers superstar is in the final year of his contract with the Chicago Blackhawks, and fans are wondering what potentially lies ahead leading up to the trade deadline.
Taylor Hall is now 32 years old and playing out the final year of his contract with the rebuilding Chicago Blackhawks, with rumours that he may be traded at the deadline.
In a recent interview with Daily Faceoff, the former Oiler first overall pick revealed that he actually doesn't want to leave Chicago. After rehabbing from a brutal ACL injury at his age and sticking around the young guys on the team, Hall wants to see Chicago make the playoffs again.
If he has a choice, Hall is saying it now: He wants to be in Chicago. It's too early to say if the feeling is mutual.

GM Stan Bowman also has extremely strong ties with the Blackhawks organization. With Kyle Davidson being their current GM, Stan Bowman could easily strike a value deal in order to bring Hall back to Edmonton as Stanley Cup rental option. Oilers Nation seems to think that bringing Taylor Hall back to Edmonton makes the most sense for a strategic deadline move, but it remains highly unlikely.
Although the connection is there between the Oilers and the Blackhawks, it seems that Taylor Hall has his heart set on the city of Chicago. The Oilers definitely don't need anymore offensive help, and Taylor Hall reports that's he's done with being moved around.
