As the world continues to mourn the tragic passing of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, NHL teams are paying tribute to the brothers during the NHL preseason.

As per the NHL, The Dallas Stars honored the brothers, who were killed when they were struck by a vehicle while riding their bikes in Salem County, New Jersey, on Aug. 29, by playing the video before their game against the St. Louis Blues at American Airlines Center on Saturday. The Winnipeg Jets also showed the tribute video Saturday, before their game against the Minnesota Wild at Canada Life Centre.

The video highlights the brothers' contributions to the hockey community, both on and off the ice. Following the video, the arena participated in a 13-second moment of silence, paying homage to Gaudreau's No. 13.

This was an extremely classy gesture by the Dallas Stars and the Winnipeg Jets. The video tribute was a tear jerker, and the 13 seconds of silence was a beautiful way to pay homage to the late brothers.

The Columbus Blue Jackets also announced they will be wearing stickers on the back of their helmets this season with the number "13" displayed on the badge.
