Las Vegas Golden Knight Keegan Kolesar, may and very well could be facing suspension, after dangerous hit on Oilers' Mattias Ekholm.
The hit came with only 29.0 seconds left in the 2nd period, as Ekholm weirdly laid on the ice. As he still had his head up before getting up onto all fours. It took Mattias Ekholm, a good minute and a half to get back into his feet. He also was cut on the nose, most likely from his visor.
Mattias Ekholm, at 6'4 and 215 Ib is a big guy. So seeing him get hit and go down like that is definitely a scary sight.
The Player Safety, had been pretty soft on this series in terms of the length of suspensions or just a slap on the wrist with a fine. So, hopefully that changes and Keegan Kolesar, is given at least 2 games for boarding.
