Edmonton Oilers Fan Trolls Kings Players in The Tunnel Before Game 4 Started
In professional sports, fans take it upon themselves to try and get into the heads of the opposing team's players in any way possible. They cheer loudly to disrupt communication or use boos to try and throw off the opposing team's momentum.
During Game 4 between the Edmonton Oilers and LA Kings, one Oilers fan attempted to mess with the Kings players' minds by placing his hand just before their entrance onto the ice.
The fan's bold move was captured on video and shared on Twitter by user @Captain_Feltan:
Despite the fan's attempt at gamesmanship, no Kings player touched his hand. The Oilers got off to a rocky start, falling behind 3-0 in the first period. However, they stormed back and managed to tie the game 4-4, sending it into overtime.
This incident is just one example of how fans can try to impact the outcome of a game, and it remains to be seen whether these types of tactics actually work or not.
