As the playoffs commence, head coach Jay Woodcroft and his team are strategizing ways to triumph over the LA Kings in round one. With the match about to commence, they're considering how to move their pieces effectively in the game.
Recently, the Twitter account Oiler Alert released the potential lineups for game one in round one, which is tonight.
During the final stretch, the Oilers, like many NHL teams, tried the 11/7 format, where 11 forwards and seven defensemen are dressed. However, it appears they'll return to the more conventional 12/6, which makes more sense. Nonetheless, this is just a projection, and many variables could shift before next week. Woodcroft has opted for a more experienced lineup, which should cause the LA Kings some trouble.
The first game will begin on Monday, April 17th, at 10:00 PM Eastern in Edmonton.
