Leon Draisaitl Gives Darnell Nurse Some Backlash After Awful Play
Last night's Oilers vs. Kings game in the NHL playoffs was full of intense moments, but frustrations boiled over in overtime when Leon Draisaitl set up Darnell Nurse for a potential game-winning goal. Instead of passing back to Draisaitl, who was left wide open, Nurse, who is not known for his offensive skills, opted to take a shot on goal.
Draisaitl was visibly frustrated and skated back to the bench to give Nurse an earful, as shown in a video captured by a Twitter user:
Draisaitl shouted at Nurse and gestured towards the ice, clearly unhappy with the missed opportunity.
Although the Oilers ultimately lost the game, the incident highlights potential issues with team chemistry in high-pressure situations. Can the Oilers regroup and come back stronger in game two, or will the frustration linger? Only time will tell in what promises to be an exciting playoff series.
