The Official NHL Stanley Cup Winning Odds Are Revealed: Oilers Slept on?
When it comes to hockey, most fans would agree that the best part is the Stanley Cup playoffs. After 32 teams battle it out for 82 games, only 16 move on to compete for the ultimate prize. Some teams have better chances than others, like the Boston Bruins who set a record for most wins in the regular season this year.
Recently, The Athletic published their annual list of odds for each team to win the Stanley Cup. Not surprisingly, the Boston Bruins are listed as number one, followed by the Colorado Avalanche at number two. However, the third-ranked team on the list is the Edmonton Oilers, who hope to build on last year's success and bring the Cup back to Canada. It's been almost 30 years since the Montreal Canadiens achieved this feat in 1993, beating Wayne Gretzky and the Los Angeles Kings. Check out the full list of odds here:
