Last season, the relationship between the San Jose Sharks and their star forward Evander Kane soured, ultimately resulting in Kane being released from his contract. Despite his well-documented off-ice issues, many general managers were still interested in Kane's talent, including the Edmonton Oilers' Ken Holland.
Since signing with the Oilers, Kane has been a valuable addition to the team. Although he had a few Twitter spats with former Sharks teammates who criticized him for his time in San Jose, Kane has seemingly matured since then and has not engaged in any further disputes with them.
In a recent game against his former team, Kane exacted sweet revenge by scoring a goal in the Oilers' win over the Sharks. Despite his success, Kane kept his focus and remained professional. As the Oilers prepare for the playoffs, Kane's former team will unfortunately not be joining them. Fans can stay up to date with all the latest Oilers news and updates on the team's official Twitter:
