Stuart Skinner has made history for the Edmonton Oilers once again. He made 27 saves in their final game of the regular season, breaking Grant Fuhr's rookie record with his 29th victory. Even Fuhr himself congratulated Skinner on the achievement.
Skinner's exceptional performance continued with a 14-1-1 record in his last 16 starts, which was a significant factor in the Oilers' successful stretch run. They won 9 consecutive games and went 14-0-1 in their last 15 games of the regular season.
Skinner's outstanding play heading into the playoffs bodes well for the Oilers, and it's evident that he has already made a significant impact on the team's history books. The achievement was highlighted on Twitter by Bob Stauffer, an Oilers analyst and broadcaster.
