The Calgary Flames are making headlines today as they announce yet another signing.

According to Sportsnet, The Calgary Flames announced Tuesday that they have signed defenceman Jarred Tinordi to a one-year, two-way contract with an average annual value of $800,000.

The 32-year-old spent the 2023-24 season with the Chicago Blackhawks, recording nine assists in 52 games.

Across 205 career NHL games with the Montreal Canadiens, Arizona Coyotes, Nashville Predators, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers and Blackhawks, Tinordi has a total of 30 points (four goals and 26 assists).

The six-foot-six, 229-pound blue liner was originally drafted by the Canadiens as the 22nd-overall pick in 2010.

The Calgary Flames are currently in the middle of a rebuild and are looking to add key additions to their blue-line ahead of the 2024-25 season.

It was also announced earlier today that former Edmonton Oilers defensemen Tyson Barrie was signed to a professional try out (PTO) and will likely be cracking the Flames roster.
