Connor McDavid has been the topic of conversation the past few weeks regarding a video of him yelling in the locker room during the Stanley Cup Finals.

The road hasnt been easy for our captain. He joined the Oilers organization when they were in the pits of despair, but has singlehandedly brought the franchise back to glory. Despite his gifted abilities, he's been often put under fire by the media for being "bland" and "boring". I think it's important to remember he is human, and he made that very clear during an interview on Amazon's FACEOFF.

According to the hockey news, the Edmonton Oilers captain is recognized for his soft-spoken nature and hard-working dedication on the ice. He isn't known for being vulnerable.

The Hockey News was able to preview Episodes 5 & 6 of Faceoff: Inside the NHL. From the moment Episode 5 starts, you feel the emotion McDavid feels.

"There was a lot of pain in that room," McDavid said to the producers in Episode 5. "I can't even explain it to you. You've just gone through months and months of grinding, working; all these ups and downs, peaks and valleys."

"I would definitely say that I am an introvert," McDavid says in the show, "that causes more stress and anxiety. Off the ice, you have to deal with the media and the fans."

"It's part of the job."

"I get called boring, I get called a robot. It's tough, it's challenging," reveals McDavid.

"The ice has always been my happy place," the Oilers captain reveals. "(It's) the place where I feel most at home and feel (the) most confident."

Full credit to Connor McDavid for participating in the documentary and wearing his heart on his sleeve. Oilers fans are eagerly awaiting to see a side of McDavid only his teammates get to see.
