Connor McDavid comments on his EA player rating
EA Sports' NHL 25 came out with their highly anticipated player ratings, and Oilers captain Connor McDavid wasn't too impressed.
Connor McDavid is without question the best hockey player in the world. He consistently pushes the envelope every season, all while continuously finding different ways to outperform his competitors. With that being said, how did McDavid feel about his EA rating?
According to Athlon Sports, The Oilers captain was in good company, however, with Nathan MacKinnon at 96, Auston Matthews and Leon Draisaitl both rated 95, and Sidney Crosby coming in at 94 as the top-five players in this year's edition of the videogame.
«Nice, cool. My only question is the NFL does 99s (ratings), why does the NHL not do 99s?» McDavid asked, with a smirk that suggested he might feel he deserved that perfect score.
Obviously being the highest rated player on the game, McDavid's feeling werent too hurt. But he does make an interesting case for himself. If NFL players can reach 99, so should McDavid.
