Connor McDavid takes a scary fall during practice
According to Jason Gregor, Connor McDavid took a scary fall during practice yesterday.
As per Liam McCormick from Oilers Daily, Jason Gregor reported that Victor Arvidsson and Connor McDavid got tripped up, and McDavid went down for a brief moment. Gregor said that rink fell quiet for a moment, but McDavid was able to get up and skate off on his own.
"[McDavid] looked fine after. Skated off and sat on bench. Then when they left he walked off and looked fine. Which is why I said just a scare. It went really quiet for a short period.
- Jason Gregor
One can only imagine the look of terror on Arvidsson's face after the collision occurred. Arvidsson, being the newcomer on the team, could have been the one responsible for a devastating preseason injury.
Although McDavid appeared fine after the incident, fans shouldn't be surprised if McDavid takes the next few days to take it easy. According to reports, McDavid was playing through an abdominal injury throughout the post season and has undergone extensive offseason rehab.
This may be a clear sign that McDavid should be taking a more relaxed approach to the preseason in order to prevent any potential damage heading into October.
