Darnell Nurse, who is reportedly still dealing with injuries sustained in the 2024 post season will been joining fellow injured teammate Evander Kane "on the shelf" during the initial stages of training camp.
It's no secret that the Edmonton Oilers had a gruesome Stanley Cup run, with many high end players suffering severe injuries throughout the course of the playoffs. Darnell Nurse was a physical presence during the post-season, and is still undergoing treatment for lingering injuries.
According to Tom Gazzola, Nurse has been attending informal skates, but has not been cleared for contact yet. Sources indicate that Nurse will be cleared for live action at some point during training camp, but remains on the sideline as he undergoes further rehabilitation.
These reports from Gazolla could indicate that Nurse might be dressing for less preseason games in order to prevent further sustained injuries from worsening. Oilers Insider will be keeping a close eye on Nurse for further injury updates.
