Just what is Connor McDavid cooking up?
Connor McDavid seems to be cooking up something special for Oilers fans as he posted a teaser announcement on instagram.
According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, McDavid's post is deliberately vague, but it looks like he will be involved in something culinary in the near future. It could be plenty of things: an appearance on a cooking show, or opening his own restaurant with his wife Lauren. His cooking jacket seems to say «McDavid's», implying that Lauren is probably involved.
McDavid has been the centre of attention the past few weeks will all the conversation around Amazon's new series, and now fans will be eagerly awaiting to see what McDavid is cooking up next.
I will say one thing...he looks very good in the chef's uniform. It will be hilarious to see the "let him cook" memes that stem from this photo when Connor McDavid starts lightning in up this season. Let him cook is a slang phrase that means to freely let a person do something they are good at. He's clearly good at hockey, and he's probably a great chef too.
Maybe Connor and Leon will be teaming up to drop a delicious schnitzel dish? Who knows - Connor McDavid could very well be creating a Edmonton's newest signature dish, such as green onion cakes or donairs.
Regardless, Connor McDavid will be looking to get the Oilers back into the Stanley Cup finals after coming oh so close last year. The Oilers will be taking on the Vancouver Canucks tonight for the last preseason game of the year at 8:00 PM MT. Maybe Connor McDavid cooked the boys a solid pre-game meal beforehand...
