Starting lines as per Stauffer:
Tonight marks the last preseason game for the Edmonton Oilers, and the projected roster for tonight's game definitely reflects that. This will be the last opportunity for prospects like Vasily Podkolzin and Noah Philp to impress head coach Knoblauch and the rest of the Oilers management. The Vancouver Canucks are also projected to dress their starters in what should be a heated 2nd round re-match.
After losing their previous game to the Seattle Kraken by a score of 6-2, fans can expect the Oilers to come out with a different mindset. With the Oilers first regular season game with the Winnipeg Jets right around the corner, the boys will be locked in and focused. Tonight's preseason matchup will be intense and should replicate the speed of a regular season affair.
According to CBS, Silovs will get the home start Friday versus Edmonton, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Puck drop is set for 8:00 PM MT. You can stream the game on Oilers+ or tune into 630 CHED for live play-by-play audio.
