Leon Draisaitl buys a new house next to Connor McDavid
Todays segment of Elliotte Friedman's 32 thoughts podcast was packed with bombshell updates across the NHL.
But on a lighter note, he mentioned something very intriguing that might excite Edmonton Oilers fans. Midway through his podcast, Friedman disclosed that Leon Draisaitl purchased a home this offseason just next door to his best pal on the team, Connor McDavid.
McDavid and wis wife currently live in a luxurious house in Laurier Heights, Edmonton, Alta. Laurier Heights is known for being «the most extraordinary and breathtaking location in the city", and Leon Draisaitl recently purchased a home in the exact same area.
Upon signing a monster 8 year $14 million dollar contract extension, there will be no shortage of cash flow for the Oilers phenom. With his paycheques set to start flowing in the new year, Leon sure has spoiled himself and his fiancee Celeste Desjardins. Although no pictures have been leaked of the house quite yet, fans are eagerly awaiting to see what it looks like.
This move by Leon further emphasizes the close bond he and McDavid have developed throughout the past decade. Elliotte Friedman reported that Leon Draisaitl and McDavid are "a package deal" and all sings lead to McDavid re-signing in Edmonton.
