Oregon Ducks goaltender Henry Bradford passes away at the age of 22
Tragic news in the world of hockey continues as University of Oregon goaltender Henry Bradford passes away at the age of 22 due to a sudden cardiac arrest.
According to Red Wings Insider, Bradford was described as an "incredibly kind and thoughtful man" with a contagious laugh and a great sense of humour. His teammates and coaches praised him for embodying the principle of treating others with respect.
They fondly remembered his memorable moments on the ice, particularly his signature mustache and impressive last-second saves.
Over his three seasons with the Ducks, Bradford played in 11 games in the ACHA, recording a 2-8-0 record, a 4.22 goals against average, and an .885 save percentage. Everyone at Blade of Steel is thinking of Bradford's family and friends during this difficult time. He will be missed deeply by the Oregon hockey community.
The team issued a statement about his passing just below:
"We are heartbroken to share that our senior goaltender, Henry 'Hank' Bradford, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 20th, 2024. Hank was incredibly kind with a contagious laugh and a great sense of humor. As good a goalie as he was, Hank was an even better person. He treated everyone with respect, always calling someone 'sir or ma'am.'
Hank, your mustache and last-second saves will be remembered in Oregon hockey history forever. We'll miss you, #1,"
Oilers Insider would like to send their deepest sympathies to the family of Henry Bradford - gone far too soon.
