Pearl Jam stops concert to pay tribute to Johnny Gaudreau
The outpouring of love and support for the late brother Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau has been great to witness.
Pearl Jam, one of the biggest rock bands in the world were playing a show Saturday night during a Pearl Jam concert at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Eddie Vedder, the front man for Pearl Jam paused half way through his set to deliver a beautiful tribute to the brothers who were tragically killed last week.
"This tragic accident that happened with the Gaudreau brothers and I just wanted to say that I lost my brother 5 years ago in something that was immediate and tragic... and Chris told me what made it even more tragic was that they were such good men," said Vedder.
"So hearing that they came from Philly and grew up watching the games in this city, we thought we would recognize them and wish their families, loved ones and teammates the strength to get through. It's a difficult time."
This one's for Johnny and Matt
Hats off to Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam, this was an extremely classy gesture to pay respect to the Gaudreau family.
