Phil Kessel, the man known for stuffing the Stanley Cup with hot dogs is looking to make an iconic return back to hockey.

Despite being probably extremely out of shape, the three time Stanley Cup Champion has made it clear he's looking to get back into hockey.

PHIL KESSEL WANTS ONE LAST SHOT AT STANLEY CUP GLORY

According to NHL Trade Rumor, insider Elliotte Friedman recently revealed on his 32 Thoughts Podcast that Kessel has been actively reaching out to teams, expressing his desire to play one more season. «He wants to play, he loves hockey and wants to play one more season,» Friedman said.

The Ottawa Senators, as suggested by the fan, could indeed be an intriguing option for Kessel. The Sens are a young, up-and-coming team that could benefit from Kessel's veteran leadership and offensive skills. Plus, playing in Canada's capital would give Kessel a chance to showcase his talents on a national stage.

Other potential landing spots for Kessel include the Carolina Hurricanes, the Edmonton Oilers, and the Vegas Golden Knights. All three teams are Stanley Cup contenders that could use an extra offensive punch.

The Oilers have been historically known to take on risky players concerning Evander Kane and Corey Perry. If Phil Kessel gets into game form, could a one year league minimum deal be on the table for Phil Kessel?

If Evander Kane will need to be put on LTIR for a portion of the season, could Phil "the thrill" Kessel slot in? As hilarious as the idea may seem...Oilers fans have seen crazier things happen.
