The objectives for Corey Perry have been laid out
As the regular season is just a few days away, we take an in depth look at some of the top objectives for some of they Oilers players.
Corey Perry, 39, is by far the most veteran presence on the team. The former Hart and Rocket Richard trophy winner may not play with the same spunk he used to, but he's still fully capable of contributing to team when called on. With that being said, Oilers Nation gives fans some insight as to some of the objectives and expectations for Perry this season.
As per Oilers Nation, taking into account the possibility that Perry may only play between 55-60 games-while this may not be the spiciest take-if he manages to score around 12 goals, similar to last season, it should be seen as a success for him, which is pretty solid production from a bottom six player.
Still, the playoffs are where Perry must truly shine and elevate his game-something that eluded him for much of last postseason. Yet, all in all, completing a successful regular season means bringing the Stanley Cup home to the City of Champions.
If Corey Perry can continue being a solid leader, score at least 10+ goals, and play more than 55+ games, Corey Perry will have a succesfull season in my books.
On a closing note, there is no "Corey Perry Curse". He's already won the Stanley Cup with the Ducks, and you can guarantee he's looking for one more before he hangs up the skates for good.
