According to The Athletic, Snoop Dogg has joined forces with entrepreneur Neko Sparks in a bid to acquire the Ottawa Senators. The Sparks group has already submitted a massive $1 billion bid for the franchise, which would make it the most expensive sale in NHL history.
Sources close to the Sparks bid have revealed that Snoop Dogg is fully invested in the process and is actively contributing ideas to help secure ownership of the Senators. One insider said, "
He's passionately involved. He's coming up with ideas. And he's legitimately excited. He wants this team.
"
While there are no official statements from either Snoop Dogg or the Sparks group, news of the hip-hop icon's involvement has already generated excitement in the sports community. With the bidding process heating up, it remains to be seen if the Sparks group, with Snoop Dogg's involvement, will emerge victorious.
