His projected role would beon the Oilers' third line. Carcone would likely slot alongside veterans Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor Brown. This combination could elevate the depth in Edmonton's offense, providing a layer of grit and scoring potential that seems to be missing from the lineup.
The trade rumour mill has also ramped up regarding GM Stan Bowman shopping for a top-4 blue liner.
