Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews, two of the most prolific NHL superstars get some unique offseason training together.
Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews are two names that are constantly creating headlines. A few days ago, an unlikely collaboration, in an unlikely place has caused quite the buzz around the NHL. The two were videographed getting in on-ice reps at Sap Garden, an arena located in Munich, Germany.
Although the German training sessions between both superstar has been a heavy topic of conversation for both Leafs and Oilers enthusiasts, the nature of the location and collaboration remains unclear. Nonetheless, both McDavid and Matthews are getting in some intense international level training under their belt before the debut of the 2024-25 NHL season.
Many NHL enthusiasts are wondering if Leon Draisaitl potentially put Matthews and McDavid up to this. Draisaitl is a native of Cologne, Germany, and there has been speculation wether or not Draisaitl could have been the catalyst to their German training session.
