New Development Regarding Evander Kane's Injury
The Edmonton Oilers received some positive news during today's practice ahead of their game against the Boston Bruins on Thursday. After skating with the team earlier in the week, forward Evander Kane was penciled in on the first line with Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman. Kane was a full participant in the practice, signaling his return to the lineup.
Kane has been out of the lineup since sustaining a lower body injury on February 17th against the New York Rangers. The Oilers, who are fighting for a playoff spot in the Western Conference, will need all of their key players healthy and contributing if they hope to compete for a Stanley Cup this season.
The Oilers' lineup now includes Kane on the top line, with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Leon Draisaitl, and Kailer Yamamoto filling out the other forward lines. The addition of Kane should bring some much-needed offensive firepower to the team's already talented roster.
