Patrick Kane Reportedly Struggling To Adjust In New York
NHL fans were shocked when the news broke that Patrick Kane, one of the most iconic players in the league, was leaving the Chicago Blackhawks after over 15 years with the team. The trade sent Kane to the New York Rangers, where he would have to adjust to a new city, new teammates, and a new way of playing the game he loved.
Ryan Whitney, former NHL player and current host of the popular hockey podcast 'Spittin' Chiclets', shed some light on Kane's struggles during the transition. Whitney emphasized that people often underestimate the many life adjustments that come with being traded, and Kane's situation was no different. Leaving behind the place where he had spent almost his entire career, as well as his home and family, was undoubtedly difficult for Kane.
People don't understand how many life adjustments happen when a player gets traded.
