Oilers Defenseman Looks Bad After He Made A Big Mistake Against The Maple Leafs
Throughout his career, defenseman Cody Ceci has faced criticism for his questionable play. The same thing happened in all teams he played for. In Ottawa, Toronto, and now Edmonton.
During a recent game against the Maple Leafs, in what should have been a routine play for Ceci, Mitch Marner easily took the puck away from him. Whether due to a lack of focus or forgetfulness, Ceci's mistake led to a goal by David Kampf.
This doesn't help Ceci in his case. This season, he played 61 games and scored 10 points. Fortunately, his $3.25 million cap hit is not a big burden on the Oilers' payroll.
Hopefully, the arrival of Mattias Ekholm will inspire the other defensemen to play better as the playoffs are on the horizon.
