According to the Hockey News, Fans were treated to two fights during this game, and not from players you might have expected.
Sean Couturier dropped the gloves first, followed by a brawl between Joel Farabee and Corey Perry after the two had been exhanging words for some time beforehand.
Even at the tender age of 39, Corey Perry is out there risking his body for the team. Up until he dropped the gloves, the night was looking grim for the Edmonton Oilers.
Corey Perry looked like an absolute menace out there. Right off the draw, the gloves were dropped, and the hands were swinging.
The fight went on quite a bit longer than expected. Fans seem to be impressed with Perry's ability to hold his own at his age. To be fair, I'd give the decision to Perry as he seemed to have a pretty decisive victory of the Philadelphia Flyers player. He's always been known to be a gritty forward with the ability to fight - but this what great to witness.
After Corey Perry rallied the troops, the Oilers looked like a completely different team altogether. In the late stages of the third period, Evan Bouchard tied things up 3-3 from a beautiful play by the two Oilers superstars. Leon Draisaitl eventually got the OT game winner thereafter. The Oilers needed that one - Play la bamba baby!
