Edmonton Oilers owner Daryl Katz continues to climb the money ladder, being ranked one of the richest Canadians in the country.
According to Oilers Daily, MacLean's magazine recently published a list of the country's richest people. Oilers owner Daryl Katz was ranked the 29th richest Canadian, with an estimated worth of $5.84 billion.
Daryl Katz has earned the respect of many Oilers enthusiasts over the years, making sound investments and putting his money where his mouth is.
Although he may be somewhat controversial, he's also earned the respect of his players as well.
When Leon Draisaitl signed his monstrous 8 year $14 million contract extension over the summer, a big reason why that deal came to fruition came down to how the organization treats their superstars, which all comes down to ownership.
