Leon Draisaitl praises Viktor Arvidsson
After the Oilers took to the ice for their first skate yesterday, Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl had some comments for Viktor Arvidsson.
According to Caleb Kerney of The Hockey News, he started off talking about how much he was looking forward to playing with him, "I'm really, really excited to get to know him a bit and create some chemistry with him. I think we could be a really good pair."
The two have played against each other quite a bit, both in the regular season and the playoffs. Draisaitl revealed what it is like playing against him, and what traits he's noticed on the ice,
The Oilers are no strangers to Arvidsson as they faced off against each other during the first round of the 2024 post-season.
Hockey analysts have gone as far as to say that Arvidsson was the best player on the ice for the LA Kings during the 2024 playoffs. Arvidsson is known to be an electrifying offensive threat with dynamic skating abilities.
He's got a knack for finding the back of the net and drives the net like an absolute beast. Arvidsson rose to NHL prominence during his years with the Nashville Predators, and was deemed their "secret weapon" during their miraculous cup run in 2017.
It's nice to see that Leon Draisaitl praising Arvidsson's overall offensive capabilities. It should be extremely interesting to see how the two perform during the regular season on the Oilers second line.
