Meredith Gaudreau shares a heartfelt video of Matthew Gaudreau's wedding speech

Meredith Gaudreau, the widow of the late Johnny Gaudreau has been releasing some tear jerking content on her instagram.

Johnny, who played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and his brother Matthew were riding their bikes when they were struck «in the rear» and killed by 43-year-old Sean Higgins in Salem county New Jersey.

Despite this horrific tragedy, Meredith Gaudreau has been bringing light to the situation, finding different ways to honour her late husband and brother in-law.

In this video on instagram, Meredith shares an intimate moment of their wedding, where Matthew, Johnny's best man, takes the microphone for his "best man" speech. The full video can be viewed on Meredith Gaudreau's instagram account.

In Meredith's video, Matthew is seen taking the mic before sharing heartfelt words with the couple and their guests. «John and myself have been inseparable our whole lives. Any time you saw me, John was right beside. Any time you saw John, I was following along behind him,» Matthew was heard telling the room. «When we got older and we weren't together because of hockey, we still took care of each other.»

It's very clear just how close the two brothers were their whole lives, and how profoundly loved they were by their entire family. Johnny and Matthew were also preparing to be groomsmen for their little sisters wedding which was set for just days after the accident.
