According to Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, The Toronto Maple Leafs have allegedly taken legal action against one of their super fans across the country, a fan who goes by the name «Kurtis From Alberta».

Kurtis has been a prominent Leafs fans online for a few years now, creating videos from his basement that's fully decked out with Maple Leafs memorabilia. Kurtis posted a video on X (formally known as twitter) breaking down the current situation. Due to Kurtis wearing Toronto Maple Leafs attire and drinking beer that wasn't officially sponsored by the team, the team has allegedly threatened Kurtis with legal action.

Molson, who is the official beer sponsor of the Toronto Maple Leafs have made it clear they don't want any other brand of beer appearing in his videos.

"My heart and spirit broke today," Stevenson wrote in a post on social media. "Unfortunately I have essentially been forced to shut down my social media or change who I am."

"I can't make videos anymore unless I drink the beer of the sponsor of that team because the beer company has flagged me, and was going to send a cease-and-desist order with legal action if if I continued," Stevenson said. "I won't be bullied. This is crazy. I can't drink any beer without a certain team's logo anywhere in the background, I can't wear a jersey, I can't wear a helmet, I can't do anything."

Molson has now been contacted by media for an official announcement on the story.
