According to The Hockey News, The Boston Bruins' season opener against the Florida Panthers is in just five days. While the regular-season is rapidly approaching, the Bruins still do not have their star goalie Jeremy Swayman signed. They are not close to changing that, either. The Boston Bruins absolutely need to get Swayman signed ASAP, or they could be deep trouble.
However, according to NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, it is now more than just a money issue between the Bruins and Swayman.
According to Maverick Mitchell of Bruins Latest, The deadline for Jeremy Swayman to sign a deal and still be allowed to play in the 2024-2025 season is December 1, 2024, and Bruins general manager Don Sweeney has already stated he sees that as the most probable date he will sign the RFA star goalie.
