Kane uploaded a video to his Instagram story, capturing a heated exchange between him and another individual.

The confrontation began when the man allegedly made racially charged comments towards Kane and his friend, suggesting that "you people don't belong here." This incident underscores the ongoing struggles against racism, even faced by public figures like Kane.

The altercation occurred after a disturbing act where, according to Kane, a cyclist spat on his vehicle as he rode past. When confronted, the individual initially denied the accusation. The situation escalated when he made the abhorrent comment captured in Kane's video. The presence of Kane's friend, who happened to drive by and stopped to assist, prevented the confrontation from escalating further.

"This cyclist was riding his bike past my vehicle and decided to spit on it as he rode by. And then confronted him as he tried to deny the claim luckily a friend of mine in the area who was driving by, pulled over to intervene in our conversation. This gentlemen then proceeded to tell me and my friend and I quote ‘you people don't belong here' it's incredibly disappointing. There are people still like this today."

The man at the center of the controversy ceased his argument once Kane turned on the camera, illustrating perhaps a consciousness of guilt or a fear of public scrutiny. Fortunately, the situation did not further deteriorate thanks to the timely intervention of Kane's friend.

At the moment, Evander Kane's health status is in limbo heading into next season, but it's believed that the star forward will begin the year on the injured reserve. Hopefully Kane will be able to return to the team. at least in next year's playoffs.
