Connor McDavid silences Mark Spector during interview

In a recent interview, Mark Spector asked Connor McDavid one of his classic irritating questions, but the captain stood firm.

As per Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, In an interview after practice today, McDavid shut down any more questions about the Cup Final loss, and made it clear that the Oilers are turning the page.

REPORTER: Is there anything, you know it was total devastation last year

MCDAVID: Enough about last year. Enough about last year.

REPORTER: Is there anything from that feeling, that moment that helps you this year, that you take out of it and you don't just erase?

MCDAVID: Uh I don't know. It's about this year, you know, I've talked a lot about last year. Lotta questions about it, lot of different things about last year. I've answered all of them, done everything. We're moving on. It's about this year.

Spector hasn't been impressed with the Oilers preseason so far. He calls out the Edmonton Oilers for looking sloppy and unprepaired. He believes that a team as elite as the Edmonton Oilers will be starting their season "under a cloud of doubt", while being nowhere good enough with the regular season starting tomorrow.

Spector has been known to be extremely critical of the Edmonton Oilers, often getting under the skin of players during interviews and media availability with his provoking style of questioning. On in this particular occasion, Spector challenged the Oilers captain, But McDavid has had enough of the constant cycle of repeated questions pertaining to last year.

The Oilers will be looking to take home their first win of the season as they tale on the Winnipeg Jets tomorrow night at Rogers Place. Hockey is finally back!
