Jordan Eberle, the former star of the Edmonton oilers has received the distinguished honour of being named the captain of the NHL's newest expansion franchise. Although Jordan Eberle has been long gone from the Oilers organization for a number of years, the feeling of mutual respect has never wavered between fans and the longtime Oilers veteran.
Jordan "Ebs" Eberly was selected in the first round (22nd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers and made his NHL debut with the Oilers in 2010. He was widely recognized for his earlier years on the Oilers when he, Taylor Hall and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins were regarded as the future of the organization.
As per Liam McCormick of Oilers Daily, Now 34 years old, Jordan Eberle was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the first round of 2008. Eberle went on to play the first 7 seasons of his career with the Oilers, always being a productive scorer by nearing a 30 goal pace. He became a fan favourite player in Edmonton for his skill and his easy going off-ice personality. In the offseason of 2017, the Oilers traded Eberle to the New York Islanders for Ryan Strome.
Now wearing the coveted "C" on his jersey, Jordan Eberle will look to lead the Seattle Kraken into the playoffs for just the second time in franchise history.
