It's no secret by now that Connor McDavid suffered a lower body injury during the Oilers 6-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. With that being said, the team came out with an official announcement stating McDavid would be out for 2-3 weeks.
Now, Bob Stauffer dropped a bomb on Oilers fans, stating that the Oilers captain could be ready to hit the ice as soon as tomorrow for the Las Vegas Golden Knights game.
There's probably no reason for McDavid to rush back at this point, but it's incredibly encouraging that McDavid seems to be healing faster than anticipated. But as the Oilers struggled to gain any offensive momentum against the New Jersey Devils, the Oilers could surely use their captain back.
History has shown that Connor McDavid is extremely competitive and can't stand watching games from the bleachers. According to Bob Stauffer, don't be surprised if you see the likes of Connor McDavid suiting up tomorrow.
